Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 May 2026

Overview

Rule5 helps athletes review fitness, fatigue, training history, and AI-assisted coaching guidance. This policy explains what information Rule5 collects, how it is used, and the limits of the coaching information shown in the application.

Information We Collect

Rule5 may collect account information such as your name, email address, authentication provider, and registration details. If you connect Intervals.icu, Rule5 stores your Intervals.icu athlete ID, protected API credentials, activities, training load, heart rate, power, cadence, fitness metrics, and related training data.

How We Use Information

Your data is used to authenticate your account, sync and cache Intervals.icu data, display dashboards and training logs, support activity analysis, and provide AI-assisted coaching responses based on your available training history.

AI Coaching

Rule5 may send selected training context and recent chat history to the configured AI provider to generate coaching responses. In local development this may be a local Ollama instance. If another provider is configured, data may be processed by that provider according to its own terms and privacy practices.

Credentials and Security

Rule5 protects stored Intervals.icu API keys using application data protection. You should still treat your API keys and account credentials as sensitive and revoke or rotate them if you believe they have been exposed.

Data Retention

Rule5 keeps account and synced training data while your account is active. Coach chat history is intended to support recent context and may be limited to recent messages, such as the last 30 days, depending on application configuration.

Medical and Training Disclaimer

Rule5 is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Fitness metrics, training suggestions, and AI coaching responses are informational only. Always use your own judgment and consult a qualified medical professional before making decisions that may affect your health, especially if you experience pain, illness, dizziness, chest pain, unusual fatigue, or any concerning symptoms.

Use at Your Own Risk

You are responsible for how you use Rule5, its dashboards, activity analysis, and AI coaching suggestions. Training carries inherent risk. By using Rule5, you acknowledge that you use the application and any guidance it provides at your own risk.

Third-Party Services

Rule5 may integrate with services such as Intervals.icu, Google authentication, email providers, and AI model providers. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
